I'm Marcos
I'm a backend programmer, amateur DevOp and rookie team leader using Python/Django for more than 10 years and recently founded my own business at Jawesome. I specialize in bespoke projects and developed my own internal toolkit for most applications, be it news, articles or events. I've been using Django CMS for almost as many years to develop websites for more than a hundred national and international companies.
I work with open source everyday but have yet to release someting, hopefully when I have more time as currently I'm working almost everyday around the clock as a freelancer on my spare time.
I also worked in the past as a backend programmer at Queo and IT technician and Systems & Network manager at Digitagus and Associação de Jovens Agricultores de Portugal.

Website for a portuguese contemporary Art institution. Developed using Django and Django CMS; Includes Elasticsearch (via Django Haystack) and AJAX

Thoroughbred Racing Commentary
Thoroughbred Racing Commentary (TRC) is a website dedicated to promoting Thoroughbred racing through daily articles and opinion pieces on important industry issues and topics. Developed using Django, it features customized advert sections plus statistics, Horse Racing rankings imported via CSV/XLS and tablib, includes Elasticsearch (via Django Haystack), RSS feed and PayPal integration.

Runporto
Runporto is a reference for running sports in Porto, Portugal. It's dedicated to the promotion and organization of races throughout the north of Portugal, the most famous being Porto Marathon and Half-Marathon. Developed using Django and Django CMS, it has user registration, event planning race registrations, multi-site features, multiple extra features that help organize the race, newsletter and payment integrations.

Nau Securities
Nau Securities is an independent firm specialised in providing finantial market advisory and research services across Latin American and Frontier markets.
It was developed in Django, uses Django CMS in its frontend and a custom-built CRM app for employees only with export features.

MDC Psicologia
MDC Psicologia is dedicated to counseling and training for psychologists. It was made using Django and Django CMS (I'll seriosly start ommiting this part, they were all made using Django!!) and features user and training registration
It was developed in Django and uses a custom-built CRM app for employees and training management.

Travel agency with travel catalog, online booking, payment and personal area. It's integrated via SOAP with invoice and insurance software, also features a CRM, vouchers, surveys, traveler notifications and travel statistics. Made with Python/Django
